Industrial electricians use a heatless shrink covering on large electrical cabling. You slip it over into position and then pull a nylon thread out. As the thread pulls out (seems like there's miles of it inside) the tubing shrinks down tight.
There's also heat shrink tape - wrap it on like tape, then shrink-seal it with a heat gun.
There is also those kits to make your own custom hoses. I think it kind of works the same way... not familiar with it though. Summit racing or somewhere like that might have that stuff.
