Re: Speaking of duct tape...

BB, I have been taught to lift the seat and then put in down again. It is now habit.

Now before you guys say I lost the war for you, I will let you berate me only after you spend a week with my Mother. After that week, you will be doing the same and I am saying that decades later.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to say bad things about my mother, but she is very persuasive and you don't want to incur her wrath.

Beachbabe, one question, how many times have you forgotten to put the plug in??

Most of us learn after the first time. Seems it would be the same for putting che*k to porcelin.

If we tried to go with our eyes closed and the lights off, you'd all string us up. So turn on the light and open your eyes and you'll see that the seat is up.

I learned a little history today on DUCT Tape.....

Duct tape actually came about from the trenches of World War II.Our GI's used the goverment issue tape to keep boots and ammo boxes dry. They called it "Duck" tape for it's ability to repel water(quack, quack!).After the war, during the housing boom, our GI's provided many uses for it,like holding together heating and cooling ducts.Hence the name "Duct" tape. The Duck Tape brand is sold today under trademark.... :p

Info provided by T.O.H. magazine.

I was working on a car radio yesterday and had to find a place to put the tiny screws so I would not loose them. I just peeled back a little tape from the roll and stuck the screws to it.worked great
OMC

Had to tell you about the radio commercial I heard today. It was for Hormel Chili. They were suggesting ways to use it to zest up or FIX your other dishes, such as nachos, pizza, casaroles, etc. At the end the said "Hormel Chili, we're the DUCT tape for" .. your cooking.

Boy I must have it easy in my house when it comes to the seat being up.

I just explained to the girlfriend that I never freak out on her for leaving it down. When she is the only one that needs it down and I need it up. :D She hasn't pestered me about it since and always seems to check now (i think) as I haven't been shocked awake by that loud cold water scream lately.lol

If there wasn't 'duck tape' we'd still be using bailing wire! :p ;)
