yep, i'm starting to think about spring too... couple more moths maybe..

instead of slip fees, my excitement today was spending $50 for a new impeller... now i just gotta R&R it. hope everything else looks good when i get down to doing the deed..

I'm going out next weekend, well ice fishing anyhow, still have 2 1/2 months till I can get the boat out.

I think last year it was the very end of March before it broke up enough to get out, I am very ready when it does happen.

I should be getting my slip bill shortly too. The wife always whines that we pay it in February but the season doesn't start until May 1st.

I can wait a bit more i need more snow. Every time it snows i make money and that goes to all the boat upgrades. went out today and spent $150 on on some new eletrical gear for the boat. Want a lot more for the boat.( none of this is A must it just what i want to update it and look better.) Can't wait till spring already got the day planned that i launch.

I've got over a Foot of ice in the river at the front door in Chaumont, 'n a Foot, 'n 1/2 of Snow in the driveway here in Wat'n...

My Good news this winter is,...
I Finally finished my woodboiler project...
I'm sittin' here poundin' on the keyboard at 70?, for FREE,....
Vs. 65? at about $2.50 an hour for Oil....

How far is it, 'n is it even reasonable to boat from Your dock, to City Island, Bronx,..??

I got an ole Bud down there, 1 house from the water, that keeps pesterin' me to come down some summer weekend....
I always tell 'im, if I do, I'll be draggin' my barge....

I don't know how you guys do it! We had 7 or 8" of snow this week and it pretty much shut Atlanta down...school was out all week too. Anyway, I couldn't deal with months of that stuff. We'll all be burning gas and grills soon...hang in there!!!

Stop laughing about 7" of snow shutting the city down...

Make lemonade out of lemons. You can always ski behind the carpool vehicle and gain insight into how to handle those pesky curb waves of snow! Just make sure if you fall, you don't lose your (business) suit. Unless of course, it's casual Friday in which case you have nothing to worry about. YES, SPRING FEVER HERE!!!!

Hey bondo........I am on the south shore of Long Island........the Bronx would be on the Long Island Sound (north shore) side........

How far back up the south shore are ya,..??

Back when I lived there, We put in at Whitestone, 'n motored down to Rikers, in a 14' tinny, 20hp motor, 'n 3 Irishmen who didn't swim...

Am I dreamin' to think I can go from City Island, down to, 'n around Manhattan,..??
I'll be in a 25' crusier of some sort, not a tinny....

I'm not familiar enough with the area to provide any good advice, unfortunately. I'm also on the south shore about halfway out on the island. I dock in Bayshore.

I've been trying to survive the winter by listing all the stuff I need to do on the 'new' boat before spring launch. Also cruising Craigslist and eBay for deals on accessories. Yesterday I picked up a brand new, never used pair of Windline double fender racks for $100.- half price. I've been carting around in the truck some pieces of canvas that need repair. I need a new GPS- maybe I can get a deal at the NY boat show next weekend.

Stuff like that.... but I'm hurting too! C'mon Spring!

Nope,... Long Island City is in the Queens ain't it,..??
City Island, the Bronx is just up northeast of Throgs neck, where the bridge is,...
Southwest of New Rochelle...

I'm dreamin' of a day trip, up the sound to the East River, around Manhattan, down the Harlem, 'n back to where I start....
Or vice versa...

Lookin' on google map, it's lookin' a Long ways around the western tip of Long Island, back around to the Long Beach/ Jones Beach area

Spring here brings fresh lobster from the bay..............yummy.......only $3.25 pd last year right from the fishermen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
