Well its home, here are the straight out of the woods pictures, it actually looks a little better now since most of the leafs blew out. Got it for $250. Im thinking its a 79 Holiday. Has the wood on the bow and the dash looks like it, last two numbers on the HIN where 78 though. Motor looks like a 78. Guy even threw in a GPS.

PO said the floor was redone 5 years ago, I didnt climb up in it to check it out, but yeah atleast everything looks solid enough to use for templates. He said the motor was redone last year. Seats appear to be in pretty good shape. The guy was giving me a big break on the price, we actually did a trade, so I didnt want to sit and pick it apart, figured I couldnt lose. I'll probably give her a bath and then its going out back and getting covered up till late fall/winter, then she's coming in the garage and not coming out till it looks like this, except I dont have that BA V5hull.

Such a pretty site, almost makes me wanna cry.

Took the hood of the motor today to check things out. I think he may have been telling the truth about the motor being all redone. Everyone of the gaskets that I could see looked like they where brand new and it looked pretty darn clean inside. Heading out camping for the weekend otherwise ya know Id be trying to fire it up.

Aaargh! I keep telling myself that Im not working on this new boat till late fall at the earliest. But everytime I see it sitting out back it calls to me, sometimes I go outside and just look at it or investigate something. I still havent set foot inside the boat yet, Im affraid if I do Im going to start tearing something apart. This is a disease. Starcrafaholism.

Couldnt resist it any longer. Finally got the ladder and shop vac out and started sucking some of the garbage out of the inside today. Going to give it a bath this weekend. Might try and fire the motor.

Bonus finds, where a filet knife, 2 bobbers, thing full of sinkers, slip bobber stops, another prop under one of the seats and every species of spider from Michigan.

Seat boxes are for sure going to need to be rebuilt, think two of the seat panels are going to need new wood, all of the vinyl on them looks good so I think Im going to salvage them. Floor is solid enough to support me but its looking like a total gut job. Transom is worse than I suspected, but it was coming out regardless.

Hooked the motor up today, hit the key for 2 seconds and it fired and pured.
