Yeah it is the safety switch that is attached to the linkage... got to adjust it... going to watch it on the laptop tomorrow, when i get some free time... the weather is bad today... figures...

exactly Don, it does catch and wont turn, but isnt it supposed to do that when in reverse? cause its not doing that...i will check the linkage sometime next week.... what would cause it to change? and secondly.... why is the motor stalling out when it goes into reverse?

You are looking at it backwards. Think about which way the DRIVE would be turning the prop and catching. The prop does not turn the drive, the drive turns the prop.
