Does anyone know how or where I could find a specific boat for sale?

All of these a checked regularly.

Craigs List local and up to 200 miles away.
We have Want Ad Digest in my area and that handles about a 150 mile radius.

If you know the specific boat, then simply Google it. It should bring up every reference to that boat, including any that are for sale. Also try the other search engines such as Bing and Yahoo.

^^^^ What those guys said, and ...

Widen your search out past 200 miles. I typically look in the Atlanta market as opposed to just here in Nashville because the market is so much larger. If there is a greater chance that the specific boat you're looking for is used more in a certain region, you may want to look in that region too. For example: If I wanted a good dual console outboard boat, I'd probably look about 8 hours south of here on the Gulf coast.

You could also try a site like SearchTempest. These types of sites used to work a lot better prior to craigslist preventing outside sites from cataloging and accessing CL in certain ways.. But still helpful.

Re: Suggestions/Ideas wanted.

Thx for all the reply's!

I'm looking for a 1990 - 1998 Bayliner Capri Cuddy, 120 Force by Mercury outboard.

I'm not sure if this model is used more in a specific area but if it is I would be glad to look. I can certainly widen my search and have "googled" this as well.

Still no luck... but I have the fall/winter to look as I'm in the Northeast.

Google image search it so you see exactly the one of you dreams/desire and go from there and keep eyes peeled to op's back 40 as the women and the real estate flippers who only bought into your area for resale value have made all us looking at manicured lawns ,flowers ,neat and uncluttered yards . 20 plus years and found mine on craigslist 100miles from home but lost wife over but I think I came out ahead , sorry ranting and raving .

I always try Boatfax.com first, it's a good start when searching for a particular boat.

I do check the IBoats ads daily, it's one of my main sources and I really like the advanced search modes. Can practically Zero in on what I want.

@Slip Away... yeah thats Exactly the one I want, too bad the UK is a little over 400 miles away. LOL

Not that it matters, but why that particular model/engine combo?

^^^ LOL, I was thinkin' the same thing. :suspicious:

Well, unless there's some nostalgic reason for it, it would probably be the poster child for the most unrecommended vessel on this site. One of the low points in Bayliner quality (visual appeal is a different subject, they aren't bad-looking boats) as well as the Force engine combo which is a company no longer in production with a poor service record as well.

If you just want a runabout, there has to be at least 2-dozen other options in the same price range that would suffice.

 I thought the same thing. Bayliners have the worst rep of any builder I can think of for over 2 decades. Trying to find parts or even someone to work on a Force is a challenge. Unless one has a budget of $2.36 why a Bayliner/Force?

Re: Suggestions/Ideas wanted.

When I saw what he was looking for, the first thought I had as to why he was looking for that particular boat, was that he had one, it was
stolen, and he was trying to find an add for it and recover it somehow. Seems far fetched at best.

Re: Suggestions/Ideas wanted.

Their is a guy I see on twitter a lot who locates boats for people. If you search for a few popular boat key words you might find him. Or post a WTB on ebay and CL.
