Turning Idle air screw (hose connected) in either direction does not change engine speed. With hose disconnected can adjust idle speed. Dealer hooked to Suzuki program in his computer and confirmed turning screw (hose connected) had no effect. Dealer stated the program did not allow him to check IAC or voltage further. Dealer suggested I install new IAC valve. Installing same, no change. My ques, how can I safely check the voltage going to IAC valve? What is correct voltage? If a wire is broke can I find that wire? Can I check the IAC valve I removed by probing the 2 contacts and what should I be looking for or reading? I'm convinced the problem is in voltage or ? controlling the IAC valve. Thanks

In order to adjust by pass air screw first you must stop air flow from the iac by pinching or plugging iac valve hose Then adjust engine speed to 600 rpm's. Clockwise equals lower speed. After releasing hose recheck if engine speed is stable and within 650-750 rpm.

The iac is a big part of the warm up mode Higher rpm at startup, engine warms up and the rpm drops. If this is working properly maybe yout iac is ok
