This is the boat that we call the new boat. The one from my lat project was the old one. so i noticed this year that the transom was flexing way more than i really wanted it too so decided to finish up the old boat and use that for the rest of the season and take this one apart. My goal is to try and have most of this work done by next season.. the motor just needs some cleaning and i need to take a look the spark wires because the motor was jumping..

Plan is to cut out the deck that i replaced 2 years ago and just sand it down to use again.. i need to replace the front of the deck. and the transom and most likely the stringers.. hopefully i can pull all of it out in good pieces and just trace it..

1. Deck and Transom
2. New carpet
3. New vinyl
4. Fix Engine
5. Touch up paint
6. New reg numbers
plus other misc goodies

So here it is so far...

i like the look of the long bow.

it looks like a ski locker waiting to happen.

are you planning on doing the uph?....its really easy.
those seats could also be foamed and recovered easy.

Re: The "New Boat"

oh ya and the previous owner decided to screw the rub rail in with regular screws and i couldn't drill thru them so basically had to rip them out but most of them were rusted so they just broke off...

Update.. got most of the deck parts off.. steering is half off.. half of the seating is off so is half the windshield.. still need to get the railing off. radio is out.. tested the radio, fish finder, and vhf and all work except the fishfinder is off by about 6 ft but still none of that worked when it was in really so im glad im doing this..

Well off to class BOOO!!!!

Depends on the look your are going for. Personally, I like a little chrome and white and make them look classy, but some like the street rod/muscle car look.

What's your preference?

Those gauges are almost identical to the set I got oops! for his boat,in sahara color. What color are the lights in the gauges. Keep your eyes on ebay, I got a great deal there for 7 gauges.

Hi Zach:

I feel your pain.
I just "popped" the cap off my Larson last Friday. Needs new transom, needs new deck, needs new stringers.

I did a partial deck replacement 8 years ago and that was the only part that was still solid.

Anyway, best of luck, I'll be wathching your progress.

Re: The "New Boat"

Im not sure to be honest i figured if i didn't like it i can change it..

AK i did 3/4s oof the floor a few years ago and im only go to replace one of those boards.

So should i just do the whole wood transom like its supposed to be or should i just replace what's there??

Do the whole thing. You are there and it would take very little extra time to do the whole transom.
