Seeing as the membership of the missing plug club is filling up fast, I figure it's time for those of us boat rebuilders to fess up on adding more work where less is needed.. sawing/grinding/punching through their hull (accidentally, of course!). Admit your crime and share your story!
Sadly, I am a member of this esteemed club, having punched through my hull using a floor scraper! I was trying to scrape up some poorly laid fiberglass and learned the hard way.. even poorly laid glass bonds pretty darn well! 4" blade right through the hull!
I had to grind it into an even bigger hole in order to prepare it for re-glassing. Man, never again :redface:
