"Right-wing talk reigns supreme on America’s airwaves.”

As always, they preach "freedom of speach", until it gets in their way.
They demand silence so there will be "equality", regardless of the law...They'll simply CAHNGE the law!!
Another fine example of using the Constitution of the United States as toilet paper.

And before it goes there, I know what's comming ...

I love my country. I have no problem with programs like Dead-air America. THAT is "equal time", in my opinion. Tuff-taters however, if they cannot be sucessfull at it. That is FREE market economics, not FREE speach! They OWN the Public Broadcast System (PBS). They also own hollowwood outright... Yet, they cannot get enough listeners to attract sponsors on COMMERCIAL broadcasting networks.. Their "solution".. silence them!!! Over many dead bodies will they be successful at this.
Stalin tried this, and yet milllions spoke from beyond the grave... A tad late for them, but Stalin's legacy has been established for historic record. Don't allow them to do this.
Be one of the "loud people" that Grover Norquist bemoaned of (talking about the very vocal opposition to the immigrant bill campaign).
I beg of you to keep my country free. However you feel about America, too many Americans have paid a horrific price for these freedoms. Don't let Hilary and Barbara Boxer become the next Stalins.

I'd like to see how WBW will spin this one. This is just another sordid twist in the Liberal's definition of Fairness. They conveniently ignore the fact that Libs have equal access to express their opinions on most of these programs.

It is the same kind of twisted logic that allows the libs to define equality as equality of outcome, ie Socialism, as opposed to equality in opportunity.

According to **** Morris, the Fairness Doctrine still remains law, it was only suspended (circa 1987-88) at the behest of the FCC. The FCC is controlled by a committe of two Republicans, two Democrats and a fifth appointee at the pleasure of the President.

He claims that if Queen Hillary is elected, the first thing she will do is replace the 5th position with a candidate who will tip the scales in favor of re-activating the Fairness Doctrine. This will literally drive any political speech, that the libs are afraid of, off the airways.

I don't know how they snuck this thing on us in the first place, there is no true logical reason for it. Conservative leaning talk radio is not sponsored or paid for by the entities who hold the broadcasting licenses, they are totally, unlike liberal talk shows, paid for by advertisers as they are dictated by listener ratings.

If this ever comes to pass, it will truely be time to enact Thomas Jeffersons claim of the need for periodic revolution. Without talk radio, these last 20 years, the Left would have run rampant over a population whose only source of news and analysis was Dan Rather, et al.

...oh, and as an afterthough, I wonder how Dan Rather would have spun this Amnesty Bill business. Even though it is supported by a 'republican' President, Talk Radio is almost universally railing against the sham.

I am always amazed how the left is so quite on freedom of speech when it doesn't fit their agenda.

Don't you think the same rules should apply to news media like the newspapers (online and print), and TV news and news programs as well? Now that would get the libs fired up in a hurry and all of a sudden Free Speech will be a topic for them.

I won?t speak for anyone but myself, but I hope it stays just like it is. If I want at a heads up on what the topic will be for the next couple of days on ?dockside? all I have to do is check out what the neo-con propaganda machine/talk radio is putting out, next couple of day here it comes on dockside, like clockwork...... This subject is the perfect example.

Rare that I agree with ya BB, (not the whole post), be we do basicly agree. Things are acceptable to me as well, (from the other side) maybe the dark side to you. The MSM has been owned by yer side since the days of ol' FDR. Talk radio and the internet started the pendulim swingin' and the 'pure' equity values of most of yer media pals corntrollin' MSM are great short opportunities, (not a recomendation here), and I am not sayin' short GE, (the media arm at NBC is not a large enough part of the company to harm a company as well run as GE). That said: Sen Feinstein can't stand free speech any more then Liberals on todays college campuses. She wants to limit all of our media diets to only the venue her side dominates, (WbW's editors). I'm glad to see you are "fair" enough to allow our side a crumb or two of information. Thanks for thinkin' of us. JR

What gets me is that kerry and fienkenstien are so concerned about those "few little mouth-spoutin' shock-jocks". I doubt they will succede, because millions of people like me react "like clockwerk" when the marxists show their hand.
