using my Durango to pull the Rogue, I was out of engine, transmission and gears and most importantly tow vehicle weight. while the truck would pull it fine, any incline would bring the truck to its knees. any gusts of wind would push the truck around. and that was within 65 mile trips or less. when I first picked up the boat, the brake actuator wasnt working - had a small honda cut in front of me, the weight of the boat pushed the durango with locked brakes a good distance.

I now have a Ram 2500 with a cummins turbo diesel

I recommend having the boat shipped, or at least rent something big to pull it.

Not doubting your story, but... all durango's had ABS...

Sorry for not getting back to everone,
2001 Durango 4x4 4.7L 5850# towing Limit. with trailer towing package. A 2011 Party Hut WT.
approx. package wt. 4309#. And yes its a "BIG" profile for the wind to play with ! Trailer would
have brakes on 1 or 2 axles. I think it is limited to 45mph towing with the party hut . sitting on the trailer its
BIG. I am looking at cost to have it towed for me also, as it would cost around $400 in gas plus 3 day of time.
plus hotel & food. Just trying to cover all my bases and get as much info as I can and see what I can do.
Looking to but a 2007 or newer Party Hut 30 with 150 OptiMax and trailer. A few of the Bass Pro stores around
have 2010 ones left over ,but I am looking for one that is heavily discount as these are 2 yrs. old and been sitting outside all that time. I have boat now and I am going to upgrade , but only if price is right !

Not doubting your story, but... all durango's had ABS...

only had rear ABS. 4 wheel ABS was an option that my vehicle did not have.
