Hi All,
First of all, apologize if this thread is redundant.

I just got a Saturn inflatable boat 11', super existed but also frustrated in worrying about returning the boat if I don't find some workaround.

We have a regular SUV with only 3500 lbs towing capacity.
How do I tow an inflatable boat with an outboard 9.9 HP motor being mounted on the road with a 12' trailer?

I know you should not simply mount a outboard motor (which about 100 lbs for a small 2 stroke motor) on inflatable boats. Otherwise, it will bounce up n down and ripping off the boat, and causing a danger to other people, or get pulled over for ticket.

Attached picture I found online seems that this person tied up the motor to the trailer/ tansom. Could someone tell me what kind of trailer I need and what other workaround you have done and you could share? Thanks for your time!

Inflatable boat size is 11' x 6.2' SD330WGR

That appears to be a harbor freight flat trailer.

In my mind, you may be looking for a jetski trailer. But I can't be positive of that. I'd be looking to take that outboard off for trailering purposes.

Since we don't have space in the trunk to put the motor, what do you think of this method with hitch-mount cargo carrier?
attached the picture. Thank you

My uncle used to take his 9.9 Rude off the back of his aluminum Starcraft and toss it into the bottom of the boat for trailering. It'd make a yearly 8 hour trek from NY into northern Ontario CA over dirt logging roads with no ill effects. We did that for easily 20 years.

IF using a cargo carrier, I'd be strapping it in using ratchet straps, and securing it somehow with a chain/padlock as I wouldn't trust it not growing legs and walking. You'd also loose some available tongue/trailer weight - check the specs on the carrier as it'll tell you what it'll deduct BUT since we're talking a light/small inflatable its probably not an issue.
