Has anyone tried to do this?
I just don't have the room to get an engine hoist behind my boat, I have a dirt floor, and the engine is HIGH UP!
OK, I guess that I could pull the boat forward & buying some plywood for a temporary floor, but wouldn't sliding the engine 3'-or-so forward, over the (temporarily reinforced) stringers be an easier way to go?
I have a MerCruiser 2.5L 5-cyl. engine... pretty small.
