Not sure how far you trailer to get to the lake. If not far you could put some 8 inch load range C or D tires and wheels on the trailer. That’ll get the boat a little deeper to float off a bit better.

The TOTAL hull weight of the boat is... SUPPOSED >>> to be supported by ONLY the keel rollers. The KEEL is designed to support the weight of the boat. Those side bunks and or rollers are only to prevent the hull from rolling side to side on the highway from truck and wind gusts.
There is some logic required to setting up those center keel supports first. Worn out center rollers are common problems. They should spin super easily.

Just adding longer bunks or rollers isn’t going to do much. They need structure to hold them and there simply is not any under the heaviest, most critical part of the boat.

The best solution is a trailer that fits the boat. The proper trailer would also correct the balance problem and get the tongue weight where it should be. To me, that trailer looks like it belongs under a small jon boat or a PWC.

ageeed! I think it’s a modified Jon boat trailer. I’m going to look at this boat and trailer tomorrow. Trailer is 18 feet long and a 2019. I think it will provide much more suitable trailer for this boat. This little trailer I’ve got here will also work well for the job boat. Win win.

It is almost funny the way modern boat trailers have the tires where a INBOARD MOTOR is located.
Never under the outboard motor location.
Why that stupidity ?

That would take it from a first to second class lever, totally different dynamic.

Almost all the weight is at the rear of most O B Aluminum boats. Very little is at center or bow.

I just remembered you saying LOW water conditions. No chance.

I just realized you have a CRVS. Hopeless for a flat ramp. You MUST NEVER allow that trailer to drop off the ramp. Why the trailer neck is so low.
Yes I’ve got a Honda crv. . I think the low neck looks worse than it actually is in the picture because I’m backed into my inclined drive way.

Boat is 1987 smokercraft magnum 165
Motor is 1980 35 hp.
Can't be. In 1980 OMC went to a different Gearcase, where the Water Inlets were further back on the Gearcase. The Cases aren't swappable as the Shift Linkage is different.
