Hi Forum,
This is my first post at iBoats and I want to thank the forum posters for being willing to give such great tech info.
I recently acquired an 87 Bayliner Trophy Cuddy with a 140hp OMC I/O. Engine has obvious problems and needs a lot of work. When I got a good look at it, I found 2 of the cylinders filled with water. I pulled the spark plugs and tried to turn it over with the key. I'm pretty sure the starter motor is good, it seems to kick pretty hard, but the pistons don't move. I'd like to try to turn it over by hand and wrench, but can't find where to get a wrench on it. The flywheel has a cover over it and the engine mounts block access to the shaft on the other side.
Do I need to remove some thinks before I try to turn it?
Thanks for the advice.
