Is a proposal at the hockey game on Saturday too over the top? Backup plan involves a hot air ballon ride, but that means I have to wait a couple of weeks so our fingers and toes don't frost over and fall off.

You tell me LF, a dozen roses and dinner tomorrow for Valentines day. For the anniversary I am remodeling the kitchen for her.

WOW Pointer. Congrats!!!!!

I sure hope she likes hockey. If not, there are plenty more romantic places to propose. The hot air balloon is a great idea unless she is expecting you to propose tomorrow night, then it would be great as a followup.

Carpy, you rock on Valentines, but you might want to add a romantic dinner made by you in that new kitchen for anniversary present! :p

BTW Luna Sea, I think she'll love the ticks. :)

OK we're weird. We don't get all hype up on V -day. We will plan some time together. But Neither one of us expects anything. We make arrangements all through the year to have time to ourselves and we always try to give each other little things spontaneously. We don't need a day to force us to do it. :)

Actually this works out quite well.

Which would you rather have flowers or something nice once a year when you expect something.

OR Would you like to receive flowers, jewelry, clothes, or a dinner out just because many times a year. I do this, the Admiral received flowers 6 times last year for no reason, a few dinners out and one dinner at home (surf & turf) with me dressed in my tux, along with some other little odds and ends

(edit) Oh Yeah, I did not say we were not doing anything. I said we keep it low key.

LadyFish,

In addition to the season tickets, I'm taking this lady out to dinner and a movie tommorrow night for Valentines Day, she wants to see "Cold Mountain".

Hoping for some extracuricular activity afterwards too, but there are no promises, so I'll take what I can get, and be happy with whatever!

If they were season tickets to the Ballet then Kenny would definitely get some action. ;) ;)

Then again could you imagine Kenny at the Ballet watching men prance around in tights. :D  :p

I think I would hear the screaming here in Jersey. :D

jg,

I would never, ever go to a ballet!

NO WAY!!

I'll dump that broad in a heartbeat!

I had all to do, to get through "Robin Hood - Men In Tights"!

But, at least I got laugh my butt off during that movie, because in that movie, they all spoke english!

In them ballet's, they don't even have the decency to speak english, and I just can't handle that!

Re: Valentines Day - tick-tock Guys

Just got word from the misses - the flowers AND peanut butter meltaways came just at the right time! Just got a chair back from the re-upolsterer and it was messed up, littlest aspeck is learning to play with scissors - cut her long curly hair, wife's email said she was about ready to explode when the gifts arrived - I am now "THE GREATEST" - timing is everything! Now I just wish I was on the right side of the world to "enjoy my greatness"!

Being half way around the world from that special lady is a real bummer!
