While you're fixin' the trailer.
I lowered the tongue jack to the limit. Put blocking under the chines, raised the trailer back to just about level, picking the stern up off the bunks. Put the bridge span over the gunwales and strapped it to the boat with a 1600 lb tie down strap. I also secured the beam to the cleats so it wouldn't slide horizontally and tip over the jacks. Picked it up with 2 bottle jacks and rolled the trailer out from under the boat.
Welded up a broken cross member, reinforced the bow block, and rewired it.
