I am ready to paint my boat. I have already sanded the area that I want to paint and finished all the fiberglass work.
I am NOT painting the entire boat. I am only repainting the maroon stripe above the water line. A couple of questions:
1. What type of paint or coating should I use? I want to use something that can be applied with a roller.
2. Do I need to use primer first?
3. Do I need to use some type of clear coat afterward?
I attached a picture of the boat before I started working on it. Again, I only want to paint the stripe. I have already removed the vinyl pin stripe, sanded the stripe and repaired the gouges in the fiberglass.
Oh, yeah one more thing.
Anyone know where to get a good deal on rub rail kits?
Thanks in advance!
