Brutha,

First congrats on the boat she's beautiful! Awesome lines, timeless hull! I love it!

What about no graphics on the hull? I tend to be a minimalist and remove most vinyl swoosh stripes, and decals from most of my stuff... That boat would look awesome w/o any stripes... Just my humble opinion... If you want to change interior color, you could use marine vinyl paint. I had great results on my Cobalt... Regardless, it's a beautiful boat! I'm super happy fer ya!

Hi Bear:

I was thinking about your boat (Cobalt) last night and the great results you got on the vinyl painting. I could probably do something like that, if I wanted to change the interior color. I'm in no rush, so I have time to consider alternatives, etc.

Of course, the graphics are done in Imron paint, so I bet that they do not come off so easy.

I wonder if I should just change the 'pink' to 'red' ???

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

What if you changed the main stripe color to something you liked? Like a grey stripe as everyone is suggesting, but then put some pink/teal/purple pinstriping or something to break it up and still match the inside...

 Your words are so hurtful . . . ;) :)

Don't let my words hurt your feelings. That boat is beautiful, I'm just with you that the colors need a changeup. But I'd either change them up completely, or leave it alone completely and accept it for the way it is and get it looking "Well kept". Othewise, I'm kind of a fan of plain, clean and colorless. The imron paint though is an understandable problem, so back to probably leaving it alone IMO (which I know matters very little). Oh, and wouldn't changing the color cost more than a bimini top?

If you prepped and painted directly over I bet it could be done... Don't stress about it... Like I say no mater what color striped/interior the boat is fantastic, and the lines of the hull are incredible, and you have 2 fire breathing 7.4 liter monsters in the bilge dood! I would paint the stripes dark Navy blue.... Or possibly black... Then if and when I changed the interior, I'd go tan only where the pink/teal is, and leave the rest alone... But remember this is your baby... I'm only giving my opinion which doesn't mean dung...

Re: Which Color Scheme Do You Like ??? - Another Possibility . . .

I thought of another possibility without making a wholesale change, that I was 'OK' with . . .

Replace the Teal with a Light Blue (or possibly a Cobalt Blue) and make it the top color.

I think the light blue would be OK with the Teal bimini and it meshes OK with the other colors.

What U-All think about that ???

I showed the pic to my wife and she agreed, the colors are hopeless and you should just give us the boat. :D

I liked the purple best but as we've all said, it's a beautiful boat. If it was beat up/scratched and crappy looking those colors wouldn't look as good, but as is you can hold your head high even with pink as the primary color.

If the top is teal and in good shape I wouldn't change the side color to light blue. Adding a 4th color would just mess up the ambiance of it all.

I like the light blue idea. It's not so bad to replace the canvas on your bimini top. I mean, you've got a 33' boat with a TWO 7.4l's in it. You're going to burn more gas in a 1/2 day of fun than you would on canvas. I actually like it with the blue as the top color....it's a little less dated. The pink is still there messin' up the mojo, but it's almost like the pink says "talk **** to me" just so you can say "I have TWO 454's in this MFer!".

Yes, but even Pro Football players are wearing pink to support cancer research, etc. Maybe that can be my theme, if I leave the colors alone. . . . I will have to talk to the Admiral about the fuel budget for next year

. . . or possibly replace the pink with plain old red. ???

If I wanted to, I could also change the pink on the seats to red with some vinyl paint.

Red with a green bimini - it'll be a Christmas boat :) The red isn't bad though and it seems that bimini fabric replacement isn't "that expensive" so you could go red there too.

Yea, I'd probably keep the green/teal canvas, as a red canvas would be too 'loud'. I have the 'red' version image on my computer background, so I can see how I feel about it over the next few days. It would be a fairly easy change . . . covering red over the pink. I probably would do it in the Imron paint that Formula uses for their graphics.

but after all of the variations . . . I am liking the 'red'. :)

My previous boat was trimmed in red . ..

Put the bimini up and take that same picture and see if you still like it.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing . . . and I had a couple of photos showing more of the canvas cover (mooring cover, not the bimini, but they are the same)

Here are a few photos that I touched up, changing the 'pink' to 'red' . . . it is scary what you can do with the graphics software . . .

The canvas looks more 'blue' in the pictures than in real life, but it is pretty close.

Overall, I'm OK with it.

I would go with a red bimini if you're going with red paint. Or black. Or? There's just not enough teal to make it work IMHO.

I like the red untill the canvas is on it, I would start a slush fund for replacement canvas if you are changing colors. It looks like you could change the stripe design slightly and get rid of the teal completely if you wanted pretty easy. I am sure whatever roure you choose it will look great, Pretty hard to make that boat look bad.

How about a red/charcoal stripe layout?
