mrtool2u <br /><br />I understand what you are saying about raising the motor and not just the tilt and trim. If your transom is solid, no harm will be done by going up a bit. They are not talking about raising the motor 5" or anything extreme. Maybe an inch or two. Some use stainless steel plates inside the hull where the motor bolts on, to help reinforce the transom and distribute the weight, if they feel it's needed. Transoms are tougher than you think....
