so recently I purchased two Chrysler 75 hp engines for I would say a steal. $150 for two complete engines. one was in rough shape and seized. other turned freely but had 125 152 40 on compression. I just completely went through the engine and re ringed it. its all back together and passed compression with flying colors at 150 148 150. honed cylinders as well. bottom piston was scored but I salvaged a good one from the top of seized engine. the other two were scored. got lucky. my question now is what can I do to make a cheap ignition switch for testing on the stand? don't want to fry anything that's good in electrical system. the model is 757 hb 1976. I did take many pics through the process and will put up in the restore area when she comes to life. the inside of distributer looked amazing with no corrosion or dirt cob webs nothing. but I yet to know if the box and coil work. I have 2 of everything though crossing fingers on at least one working. here is the wiring codes. I just want to make a toggle switch or something simple for testing before I put it on the boat. START yellow GENERATOR purple TACH white CHOKE green HEAT orange BATTERY red IGNITION blue GROUND black.

Catfishcar as you have the electronic dist. (blue and white/black) wire at dist. you can use a switch for ignition and a toggle switch for start.

The CD box need power 12VDC (red wire) when runing and the blue is ignition ON.
Wire 12VDC from battery to red wire at terminal stripe, 12VDC to ignition switch and then to blue at terminal.
12VDC to toggle and then to yellow at terminal.

Then you need the thick wires from battery to starter solenoid and ground.
The switch is ignition ON and the toggle start.
