I hope some good came from this administration but others will be needed to identify it.

Let's see:

1. First time US attacked another sovereign nation.

2. Almost 2500 dead American soldiers.

3. Over 15,000 severely wounded troops, over 11,000 suffering amputation of body parts.

4. Over $3 trillion dollars increase in national debt.

5. Cut VA benefits.

6. Return toward corporate monopoly, ie AT&T buying Bell companies.

7. Windfall profits of Oil companies from war and unsubstaniated prices on citizens.

8. Corrupt administration, DeLay.

9. Worse split in citizens of US since civil war era.

and it goes on and on.

This is a message board, I have been clearly advised and my message is History will show that the W Administration to be the worse ever suffered by the United States of America and without immediate change will be the beginning of the end.

Where Clinton's legacy will be one of moral failure W's will be one of corruption.

I blame Bush for my migraines too. And the poop in my yard from the neighbors dog. That's gotta be his fault.

Well let's see...for starters a thousand or more Americans have not lost their lives as a result of unprovoked attacks from islamic radical jihadists on US soil.Course you and your crusaders will write that off to fate.

Would this not be true too if we had just stayed hoem and minded the store? If we put the billions into our own country that we have spent on baby bush's pet war we would be a lot better off domestically that we are. If we spent that money on national security at airports, our borders intelligence gathering....
Oh wait, if we kept that money here at home just think how many more FBI agents there would be to spy on this post....(shudder)

(whispering) I think I hear footsteps, OH NO! someone's knocking. :D

Better we waste that money on this war than allow the government over-funding of protection (spying and lying) programs. Or worse yet, on educating our children, or funding our local police, or fire departments.

Are you serious??? Does 9/11 ring a bell???

Speaking of crusaders, do you know what that means? W used that term long ago when describing his desire to "liberate" Iraq. I suggest you look up it's definition and history.

TX, I hate to tell you this but History is written by the winners. Or at least those that are in power. And as long as things stay as they are, the rose-colored glasses will never come off and baby bush will forever be the greatest president since Reagan.

Haut, At least Daddy Bush pretended to be going to the aid of a friend. Heavy on the pretend part.

Also, we have often heard that the World Trade center plan was over 12 years in the making by OBL. Some would blame it on Clinton but if my math is good, it seems maybe it started in the first Bush.

Oh yeah and tell me more of the good of this administration.

1. Security by spying on citizens does not count.

unprovoked attacks
I don't think they believed their attacks were unprovoked. Although I believe them to be cowardly acts of violence, they believe they were justified. Everything from driving Hussein from Kuwait to aiding Israel in their fight against Palastine has caused their dislike for us.

I think we should just keep our heads buried in the sand when it comes to how people around the world view us and our acts. Surely then, things will get better.

Re: W's Administration

If Bush wants his legacy to be anything but war related all he has to do is secure the boarder and enforce existing laws. Exercising our soveriegnty would be something more important imposing it.

Txs, you are missing the point again.

1. History will remember this as an extension of the first gulf war.

2. You keep forgetting 9/11

3. Tom Delay wasn't part of the Bush Administration.

4. Bush has nothing to do with AT&T reforming. I don't think it will even be a footnote.

5. Where is this bridge between Bush and Oil. Other than inuendo I have yet to hear of any connection between the two. And blaming the president for the behavior of a private organization just won't get any traction.

6. War, 9/11, and Katrina and the debt is rather low considering. Interest rates are low, unemployment low, inflation non-existant, Home ownership at an all time high.

???????????????

Re: W's Administration

I respect the debt relationship to 9/11, but the war is W to be proud of or to ashamed of and therefore the debt goes hand in hand.

Actually, Katrina and Rita are good for economy as shown by the $200 Million surplus in Mississippi generated by claims payments in the state.

No question 9/11 was not a result of his actions and for his reaction I am proud until Iraq. I just wish he had stayed on target and gone after Al Queda with all of our might. I would even support a refocusing to go after OBL and gang anywhere in the world they exist with or without support of other nations or violations of sovereign boundaries. Just go after the bad guys and leave not overthrow the government.

Of Course, you are right about DeLay, as he is a bad guy in his own right and my opinion of the administration control of him is changed. You have enlightened me and I appreciate you pointing out this error on my part.

Re: W's Administration

Al Qaeda is not an enemy in a specific location with a specific known number of members. It's all over the globe.Just going after al qaeda(bad guys) as you put it is a short mouthful perhaps.I thought everyone was already made aware that eradicating al qaeda and similar organizations is going to be a perpetual ongoing task. You don't just snap your fingers and demand a quick fix.

Re: W's Administration

If you can equate Iraq with 9/11, I don't understand a problem with equating W to oil.

With the same logic, or lack of it, you could probably equate W with needlepoint.

The key in understanding right wingers is that it needs to be done at a distance, using grand generalities and slogans. It breaks down once you get too specific, or demand specific evidence.
