The sky is not going to fall if this doesn't pass no matter what the politicians tell you. Jerry and his friends are making the same statements that they made before Prop 13 passed. Sky didn't fall then either. We have a spending problem. Not a revenue problem. Unfortuantely, the legislature voted in too much spending during the good times. We could fix this entire mess my reducing existing and future pensions like many cities are already doing.
Like I said, I have 3 cousins who are teachers and many many friends who are. My bosses wife is a teacher and she is also against the proposition. Just because I have friends who happen to be teachers that also see the problems with our already too high taxes doesn't mean that i am not truthful. I know you are from the bay area and that there is a whole different political mindset up there. A lot different from the rest of the state. I think I am putting this pretty nice since you are basically calling me a liar.
