I just tuned in to this post. ....Nice project.Today I played trailer moving games . . . I want to see if I can get a decent balance point & manageable tongue weight.

The boat was about 6" off-center (to port) when we pulled the boat out of the water. So that was the first order of business. Once I got the boat lifted up in the air, I used my chain hoist to 'pull' the trailer to port . . . that was fun.
Then I 'very carefully' moved the trailer forward . . . about 20". So, I'll lower the boat and see what I have for tongue weight. As mentioned by several folks, I can always put some weight at the stern for transport to the re-power shop, then get rid of it once at the shop.
So the boat is 20" back of its normal position on the trailer. I just need to lower it and check the tongue weight. The trailer itself (no load from the boat) has a tongue weight of 350 lbs.
I have no doubts that your weight calcs are spot on. ....previous experience with you on this still stings a bit.I was thinking about you the other day, good to 'see' you . .
Yes, Page 7 , post #130 . . .
I calculated the center of balance will move aft by 9 inches . . . the stern will be up by about 2 inches.
Total weight goes down by about 500 lbs.
Another question: Will you fully enclose this to extend the hull to the end? ...also the new mini 'transom'?It was supposed to rain this AM, but the rain held off 'til PM . . .
I got some more pieces cut.

The extra 'stringers' are in line with the engine locations and notched for the splash well. I'm running short on the Coosa, but will see how much more is needed. I got a 1" thick sheet and a 1/2" thick sheet as well as a partial sheet left. We shall see how it goes . . .
