    I have the manual. I beleive you have answered my question. My test was without the t stats. I was thinking one was bad so i removed it. I will test them today and see it they open at the right temp before i install them. Thanks For your reply.

    The last one is brand new, i only ran it long enough to see if it was gong to pump water. It was not ran but about 15 to 20 seconds, so it didn'd burn up.

    1. It ran 2 minutes max without water. 2. I dont think it has an over heat alarm. Its plug in the harness but i dont now where it would located. 3. Motor is rebuilded with less than an hour run time. Motor starts right up and idles good. i havent test compressi because motor run good.

    How to disable quick start on 96 Johnson 150

    I need to set my timing with quick start disconnected. Why does the manual show the motor firing @ 6 degrees after TDC, and 19 to 20 degrees btdc (it's always before TDC for automobiles.) Mine is idling warm at 6 degrees btdc @ 800 rpm

    I have, just have not recieved it yet, for now im using Selco. I cant find the wide open throttle timing in this book. It referes to using an analyzer. Im using a timing light. Joe says it should 4 degrees less than the manufactors setting. But i cant fint the settings.

    96 j150exedb. Water pump

    Its done and running. I took the top garment and used black tape under an over ot about an 1/8 in. Slide it in there and bolted it up. I used s hoist this time. It allowed me to push it a little at a time. Thanks guys for the tips.

    I flushed the motor throug the tube with a water hose with the t stats out. All clear I pulled the impeller out. Its fine, reinstalled the black wedge with impeller. I hand turned the drive shaft. Turns fine.. Im thinking the upper tube garment is laying over and blocking the water flow...

    Problems, I ran motor on muffs at high rpm. Impeler melted. Replaced inpeller, no water. Remover LU again. Impeller was turned backwards is my guess, it shered the white shim. Installed the impeller the right way. Still no water.. From what information i get online or from manual doesn't help...
