No start after short at battery

Looks like it might be a high amp fuse Measure voltage on the wire coming out at lower arrow. If no power, that's a fuse

No start after short at battery

Follow the wire, goes into harness and think it comes back out. This should be fused somewhere

    1966 MFG Rebuild

I would replace the lower 2x4 or at least flip it over. The weak spot is on the bottom Instead of router bit I would just use block of wood and some 80 grit Use 3/8 ply (23/32) for bulkheads Can core the bulkheads with foam but make sure to brace them good, the foam has enough power to split...

    JB Weld or alternative

I would use JB If it's cleaned really good it should hold. Put first layer on real thin. Once dry, clean and use acetone, then go for next coat. Repeat until thickness is obtained

Volvo Penta 5.7 GXI with DPS-A - actuator play

I'm not a VP expert and have not tried to rebuild one, but from what I've read the VP is much harder to rebuild then the Merc.

Volvo Penta 5.7 GXI with DPS-A - actuator play

Welcome A single engine V hull boat will wander (going left/right) when moving slow, just what happens. I also believe the amount of movement in the steering cylinder is normal. There are ports which direct flow and the outer sleeve has to move to align the ports when turning left/right and...

Low Fuel Pressure 2005 Mercruiser 4.3L MPI

This is my assumption. Only way I know to verify is by doing a air pressure regulator test I mentioned previous. I know this works because @tpenfield has done it and it works

Low Fuel Pressure 2005 Mercruiser 4.3L MPI

Reg should release pressure above 43 (at least no lower then 40) Is your gauge accurate? Use air pressure with known good gauge and regulate pressure to compare I don't see it being the filter, you replaced with one FT mentioned and there was no change With Reg not getting any vacuum then...

Possible water intrusion or lean sneeze?

The top cylinder is not firing and is being flooded with gas. Probably so much gas that even the plug can't ignite the gas. Check the carb

bravo III milky oil but holds pressure for days

Was it all milky as in a lot of water or just a little? If just a little then there might have been something that got next to the seal causing it to leak. Then after a bit of running it stopped. Could put 2 to 3 in of vacuum on the drive and try to see if it holds. If drive gets real hot (many...
