1956 StarCraft 16' boat? (ID help) please

I'm not completely familiar with the earlier 50 models of SC boats but just looking at this one, I see no similarities with any of the SC models and it has been severely mauled over the years disguising any positive model ID.

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

No problem adding a new V6 150 on a 22'r. That brochure has the motor options not the max HP capacity, it shows the 18' SS with the same HP as 22'rs. Look at the 22' Holiday next to the SS, it says 240.

    Factory made holes in keel?

If your referring to the drain holes in the riveted on center keel strip and bottom strakes then yes the holes should be there, they are on the outside of the hull.

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

I downloaded the Merc shop manual in PDF, much easier to search and print off the pages you need. The pages always get some kind of oil or grease on them so with the print outs you can just toss when done if not needed.

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Wait what? No way 150, that boat has to be rated for 240. My Islander plate

    Starcraft Holiday 18 make over

I do like non skid deck coatings for their durability and lack of care they demand.

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

The beads mix really well in the paint, they're like a powder and take on the color of the paint.

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Welcome to the Starmada and the big tin club. That's one way to steer clear of the contagious "2footitis" so many of us get after doing the 16 - 18s. That mashed keel plate looks like a tough nut to crack, I'm a horrible body and fender man who can easily overlook minor imperfections but that's...

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

Looks like a 90s model, be sure to do all the needed maintenance on it. On my 95 115 I replaced all the fuel / oil lines, fuel pump and accelerator pump kits, carb cleaning with new gaskets, link n sync procedure, complete water pump kit and last year the shift shaft seal started leaking so it...

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

Looking good, yeah I painted my gunnel tops with a roller before putting the rub rail back on using non skid poly beads in the paint with catalyst hardener and it's proved to be very tough.

Oh man that takes some stones to disassemble a MC outdrive. You're going to put in new seals too I would imagine?

You're on a resto blitz it looks like, once that deck goes in the rest seems to fly right along. Cold garage beer. 🍺 😃

    1980 22ft SS V5 rework

Oh I see what you did there (y) I think the 3/4" pin mounts are perfect for casting seats with the 11" post and up front I used the offset post. The nice thing about those bases are they're flat and you could move the seats when/where they're needed. Also in all reality they could be used...

    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

It's the McNasty stuff I got a few years ago and stored but the 15 min formula, I couldn't find any of the 5 min which melts paint like a flamethrower.

    1965 Starcraft Holiday Restomod

Nice work. On the gear case in drive, the shifter shoe on the drive has to be straight to line up with the shift slot on the transom assembly. Just turn the shoe straight pointing toward the boat and the prop should lock in forward. On the transom assembly the slot is straight too so they go...

    1980 22ft SS V5 rework

Nice to see you got the big tin out on the water. I used a Whitecap brand T handle latch for the under deck access hatch on my SS, works great and not spendy. .
