ok trying to turn prop CCW is trying to rotate the impeller backwards is won't work. Use a pair of vice grips or large channel locks and rotate shaft with pin on it CCW just ever so slightly then try again. This may give you enough to slide it together

Replacing A1 drive with new SEI 106. Boat has a land and sea 12 inch stern jack which uses a special yoke and not the standard drive shaft. So the drive shaft is removed from new SEI drive to replace U joint.

Your Mech could be right. The Tach gets it's info from the ignition system and if it starts shorting out or drawing more current this will effect the firing of the plugs.
Could disconnect the gray wire from the coil to see if it problem stops
Don't know which GXI but they all have Red on starter post and Yellow/Red on the starter solenoid. The pic is to a GXI C or D which is MPI
With no power to anything you might have blown a fuse
Up and out is the trailer function
The most likely problem is the drive trim limit switch on the starboard side of the gimble ring. The quick fix is jump the blue and purple wire together back near the trim pump
I wouldn't do anything, Your around 43:1 mix right now so it may smoke a tad bit more but probably not that much. Could bur a 1/2 Gal of it and replace just the 1/2. For me I would just run it
