    Now I have a Starcraft......

Yeah I know you're paperwork says 1990 but the boat is not even close to looking like what the 90's Islander were. I found an Islander that looks like yours, it's a late 1960s model that had lap sides of course and no side windows in the cabin bulkheads. I've also never heard of a Heritage...

    Starcraft brochures in PB...

It seems Photobucket has upped the ante on the remaining pics hosted there as if having that ugly logo wasn't enough. Now all of the brochure pics are blurred out as well as have the their logo. Wish I would have taken the time to download them all and put back up on Onedrive. Now I fear...

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

I used the same Van Sickle alkyd enamel with hardener as I used on the entire boats in my bilge and it's held up great with no problems. Just be sure to use white if you paint it, otherwise it's can be a black hole. On the pre-mix leaking out, yeah all carbs will leak fuel from the throats when...

    1974 Starcraft SS16 Restortation

Man that's a parts haul! Looks like you need a new capacity plate, they're easy to have a re-pop made up.

'76 Holiday i/o 18' Fishing Rebuild (pic heavy!)

I like those Bennett tabs, which model did you get? You can get a clam shell to cover that gaping hole in the transom that looks good.

My First StarCraft; 1975 18' SuperSport

Hey she's looking more like an SS now seeing the consoles and windshield in place. :thumb: I don't know if you remember what I did on my SS at the end of the side panels, I added another section with an AL box to make cubbys up under the consoles. Just a thought, I know most guys don't utilize...

Replacing transom plywood, what to do with the aluminum cut out

Yeah unfortunately people who shouldn't, do own a saws all. I'm facing a similar repair on a 25" transom cut down to 20". My plan is to put an outer motor plate of AL over lapping the cut out with another piece of AL cut to fit inside the cut out using 5200 to adhere / seal the 2 pieces. When...

    Transom woes.

I use 3M 5200 for all transom sealing, I even back buttered my AL motor pad with it. Also you do not need that pad, I only replaced mine with an AL plate because of non-standard motor mounting holes and I wanted the mounting holes to be BIA standard.

    Rule 1500 bilge pump

This is how I set mine up, the float switch upstream from the pump. I'm sure something similar could be done in a glass boat too.

16' Aluminum Deep & Wide Transom and splash pan fix

Alright. On the transom pad you can use aluminum like I did, back buttered with 5200.
