    New Journey

Depends on how "clean" you want the hull to be. If you are just doing a dust/dirt scrub then vinegar with scotch brite should do fine. If you are looking for oxidation removal you will need to get something more aggressive. I used the same wire brush for HF too. You just have to remember its...

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

One nice things about these older motors, their like older cars. You can still work on them and not have to take it to a dealer for a small hiccup. That being said, maybe I just like being able to tinker.... lol SHSU

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Don't get me wrong, the Nyalox cup brushes are great, but this job requires something a little more aggressive. A wire cup brush on an angle grinder is on another level. You just have to keep in mind its steel so you have to do a thorough clean out after use. Other option is to still paint...

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Are you going to paint or cover the sides with carpet/vinyl? If your set on removing it, best bet is to use a wire brush on an angle grinder. SHSU

    1983 StarCraft Islander Project!

Looks like whoever pop riveted before didn't bother cleaning up the old stems. Seems like a bunch sitting up forward. Good to see it has the additional bracing along the chines. SHSU

Motor swap and missing chrome marks the beginning

Gotcha For the stress cracks, you can weld if you want but it will happen again. Not uncommon on these splashwells. Best bet is to rivet a patch to hold it together. When you go to resecure to the transom, I would double check the wood. Can't tell in the video the condition of it. Probably...

    1986 StarCraft islander 221

Best bet may be to take into Sherwin/ Benjamin Moore to get them to identify color. Even if someone knew the original paint code, doubt it would match the hull paint currently as the time/abuse it has undergone in the last ~45 years. SHSU
