    No kidding. The trailer is too short. The specs list weight and length. Look up the specs. They have not been posted here yet. Whoever put that rig together did the owner a bad service.

    Lots of bad info here. That's not a 25 HP boat. More like a 60. If you have a 25 and added a kicker, you have exceeded the capability. A prop change won't help you. You need a bigger motor.

    The trailer was designed for a specific weight and boat length. Making mods is sometimes not the best answer if the trailer's specs aren't right.

    Nice boat, but the wrong trailer. Too short. The pic shows that the boat cannot be moved forward. If its cheap enough and you like the boat, go for it. Then, buy a new trailer.

    I have a 1970 9.5 on a 14' tinny. One vacation I replaced it with a 1984 9.9. The difference was negligible. One thing I can say about the 9.5, though. It simply runs and runs and is probably the best OB I ever had.

    I bought my first boat trailer in 1968. Had metal fenders for eons. Constant problems. Back about 20 years ago I got some plastic fenders. The improvement was so great that I wouldn't own metal fenders ever again. Like lots of things, experiences can be different.
