82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

My KF was 16 feet. I had to order another quart of Gluvit because I coated both top and bottom of each deck piece, plus the transom. One batch wasn't enough.

82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

For my Kingfisher, I made up a big batch and stored the leftover in a sealed container. I read somewhere that the sealed leftovers were good for a year. In these two pix, you can see dry areas in the original application "looking thirsty" as the OTF was being applied. During application, you...

    Baseball question

I still haven't found an answer. I've only seen this cage at Steinbrenner field. 🤷‍♂️ I found this funny answer online. :ROFLMAO:

NO insects or spring birds this year.

Plenty of birds and bugs around here. The last time I cut the grass, mocking birds and blue jays were following me around, catching the bugs disturbed by the riding mower blasting by. We had a bird visit one of our security cams a few days back.

    Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Did it actually sell? Or did the bidding time just expire?

I've never seen any equipment from that booth at all. It looks like the occupant just sits there, doing nothing.

    Baseball question

The Tampa Bay Rays have been using Steinbrenner Field in Tampa ever since Tropicana Field was destroyed in a hurricane last year. I'm seeing a booth behind the home plate umpire (outlined in red in the pic) and I don't know what it's for or what the dude inside is doing there. I've seen a...

    1986 18' Super Sport

I made some "L" brackets for braces on my Kingfisher. I'm out now, but I'll dig around for pix when I get home

1995 Grumman deep V 17' Model SP1784 replacing deck floor

Nice project! First things first, when you were gifted the boat, did you get the legal paperwork too? Titles, registration and whatnot? I highly recommend going with 5/8" or 3/4" plywood for the deck, along with the Old Timers Formula. I used 1/2" ply on my Kingfisher and it simply wasn't...

Carb float could be a no-joy situation. 😬 I was used to finding necessary parts in the aftermarket for my 50, but on my twin 70s, a few parts were out there, but not the carb floats. They simply weren't available at all. There were listings for the correct part number, but the actual part...

    1997 Mirrocraft 18' aluminum fish n ski

We had winds to 24mph yesterday. I'm glad that I passed on the splash. Got the grass cut too. 🚜

At that age range, you might run into some factory parts being NLA and no aftermarket parts available either. Happened to me before. I ended up scrapping a motor because of it. :cautious:

    1997 Mirrocraft 18' aluminum fish n ski

Yeah, for a first splash, I pretty want 0-5mph. After I'm used to the boat and satisfied with its reliability, I'd stay out and fish until the wind kicks up to about 15, then I'd call it a day and head home. When I splashed the Kingfisher 5 years ago, the temp was 82 with low humidity and a...

    1997 Mirrocraft 18' aluminum fish n ski

Welk, I was supposed to splash the boat tomorrow, but the weather isn't going to cooperate. My buddy finally had time available and we were each going to bring our boats. Dangitall. Winds are supposed to be 15-20mph and that's too much for me. :(
