1985 Bayliner 2750 Ciera Sunbridge Resto

I'll add my comments . . . For the fuel tank, consider Interlux Interprotect 2000E . It is a 2-part epoxy paint used commonly as a barrier coat, but also works great as a bare metal primer. I coated my 160 gallon fuel tank with the stuff and could not get it to come off with the 'pull test'...

    Happiest Day of Ownership !!!

My new boat has now received its place on my website . . . given that I began using my old laptop for editing and updating websites and I vaguely remember all the FTP and HTML 'stuff' that I used to do behind the scenes. http://www.tpenfield.com/Cruisers338/Home.html

Can you change from welded to bolted?

Hard to tell the trailer is/was galvanized to begin with. Certainly can be saved, but not without a metal worker's touch (IMO). sand blasting, welding, re-galvanizing, etc . . .

    What's Old Becomes 'New' . . .

The Admiral found a few more . . . but I think these are headed to recycling after data purge.

    What's Old Becomes 'New' . . .

Also 'found' my Apple watch . . . got it for Christmas a few years ago and only wore it a few times. It is like having new things again. Meanwhile, I have used the old computer and the iWeb software to update my websites, adding a site for the Cruisers 338.

    Quit My Job . . .

Just re-upholstered a boat bucket seat . . . first time doing one of this type. It took a while as there are 4 separate pieces to it and the main piece has lots of contours. This is for a Chris-Craft Corsair 28. . . As of now, my 'upholstery shop' is booked for the season

    What's Old Becomes 'New' . . .

The Admiral has been on a cleaning-out kick lately. Last week she collected a bunch of electronics (computers, phones, etc) to take for recycling. She brought me my old MacBook and asked if I still wanted to keep it? I took a quick look and said "yes . . ." My new Macbook (left) is the pure...

Poly or epoxy, not sure what to go with?

I built my custom fiberglass swim platform in my garage during the dead of winter. Temperatures in the garage were typically 60˚F (ish). First, I would use poly since it is easier on the wallet. If you have an 'attached' garage, you could vent fumes from the garage and bring warm air from the...

    1990 Bayliner 2651 resto

I've had success covering the glassed area with 0.7 mil plastic (drop cloth) material and massaging it smooth. If it is not the top coat, you could use some peel ply and then the drop cloth to cover it. For the bow pulpit . . . it is a good size to use vacuum bagging once you get the resin...

    496mag no start issue.

Did replacing the MAP sensor remedy the 5v #2 Voltage Source issue? sometimes the mechanics are at their wits end trying to fix the 'hi-tech' engines. I assume that you have the service manual for the engines? Maybe review the 'cranks but does not start' troubleshooting guide to see if it...
