    I have the feeling that specially low hp motors will all be replaced by noiseless clean very simple electric motors run off some advanced sort of battery. And their very simplicity and easily replaced parts will cause them to be the longest lasting outboards.

    Every airline that you buy a ticket from has had this real ID thing date and warning for at least the past year. Today I am not sure that you can even buy a ticket for any date after real ID is required without proof that you have real ID. So only for the very ignorant will this be a surprise

    Not everyone who can get a drivers license can be allowed to get a passport, or real ID. Like criminals on parole or probation who are not allowed to leave a certain area. That's why drivers licenses cannot automatically be real id.

    Try and take a 2 or 3 pound hammer and while the engine is running press it against the flywheel housing in different places. See if the noise changes. If it does, the housing is loose somewhere

    Wondering if you can use your daily meds as a poison? Contraceptive pills will help control the population. It works on pigeons so why not rats?

    The problem will not be the engine, because as the oldies of today, they will not be worn down by heavy use ( at least not the survivors). I do think that 75 years from now, gasoline will no longer be a popular energy source, but rather a thing of the past.

    Mounting outboard.

    It would be fine as long as the transom is in good shape and you use some strong backing so the bolts don't eat through the wood of the transom. If you intend to remove the outboard often then this would not be a good thing.

    The expense is not what bothers me. A burial shroud has no pockets so I can't take my money with me.

    I thought so too at first, but when I looked at it a bit deeper ,it turned out that these systems come with hoses that are cut to fit certain manifolds and special seals to close of passages in the manifolds and other brand specific things. hence my question.
