Had sun poisoning twice in my younger days which made me even less of a sun fan. Protect your skin now while your younger, or pay the piper...

I think a woman's body stops regulating its temp after menapause. Our A/C keeps our home at 71/72 degrees no matter how hot it gets outside. Yes we have been mid to upper 90's the past few days. At one point she was freezing and wrapped up in a blanket....a few hours later she was sitting in...

I don't see a "well" in front of the motor in those pics......other than a row boat, I would never run without a splash well...

    Forester Boat

Cool looking boat, but in all honesty, just another rotted fiberglass boat that belongs in the dump, way to costly to even think about repairing. Thanks for the pics, brings back memories of my youth....

    97 Crestliner 1650 Sportfish

Easy enough to machine or cast from plastic materials. Check co around to see your local machine shops are doing. The machine shop I worked at before retiring, did lots of "farmer jobs" for the local community at a reduced cost to be good neighbors.

    Insurance

Might be location....our rates here in Ohio are much better thru our homeowners than getting a separate policy, but they could be due to the companies I have dealt with. My homeowner policy even covers EPA fines and haul out costs. Less than half the cost of a separate policy based on my quotes.

Mercruiser 3.0 overheated, Is my motor shot?

With all the other stuff that needs taken apart to replace the rubber pieces and inspection, pulling the head would add less than an hour to your labor time. I am one of those " better to be safe than sorry" type guys I guess.

That is why I am questioning whether water is coming in thru drain holes in the splashwell. Can't tell if drain holes are there from his pics...

Mercruiser 3.0 overheated, Is my motor shot?

These motors often warp the head when they overheat. It might pay to pull the head and see if motor turns over. You can check for cylinder scoring and check for warped head and be sure deck is flat. Better to be safe than sorry....

1999 Johnson 115 starts then dies

Do the spark test when it dies out, you know it has spark at times or it wouldn't fire up. When it dies, is when you need to know if their is still spark. Same with squeezing the primer ball, do it when the motor starts to die out.

    Insurance

Insurance costs vary widely depending on where you live. Fiberglass boats are more costly to insure by a fair margin according to my ins company. I have had opportunities to buy back from insurance companies and never had an issue with salvage titles, depending on what the damage is. I only...
