    since we're now comparing total weight/performance: Here's real world....battery powered cars can't even compare... 2013 camry hybrid.... 2008 silverado WT, extended cab, long bed, 2wd, 5.3, reg. gas, 34 gallon tank. edit: I get 13mpg pulling my 24' pontoon boat.

    do I have the wrong one? 0-60....4.2 secs.? estimated extended range 341.....real world never meets that. Don't run the a/c, don't carry anyone else, don't put that car top luggage carrier on, don't go over 55...you might get that 341.

    a comparison: I have an '06, twin 25" diameter tubes, 24' pontoon boat. It had an '05 Merc. 60 hp big foot 4 stroke. I pulled multiple tubes with preteens on them for years. Not very fast even at max, but they were content, until becoming teenagers then way too slow especially in the turns...

    Can't help with boat resurrections, but you mentioned a '76 550K. So, here's my mint, unrestored, 100% '75 550F. I fully understand resurrecting an old relic, or finding one in mint condition. No better feeling. It's difficult to "read" intent on a website.

    I considered it, but didn't because I can't lower my motor anymore and couldn't get a definitive answer as to why it would not elevate it higher. That would cause ventilation issues for me. Just be sure yourself....
