Electric fuel pump upgrade, which fuel filter/filter system?

I just did that to mine, I don't know how to refer to the thread but I had a couple of pics of my install. I used the existing separator but moved it to a bulkhead and used the mounting for the pump. thread title was "fuel pump frustrations"

    Wire rope replacement

I planned on passing it along after I tried it, so take this info at your own risk until I give it a go but it seems so simple it should work well on smaller rope. simply take 2 2x4 blocks about 6 inch long and cut a shallow groove about half the diameter of the rope across one of the blocks and...

    Wire rope replacement

I don't know who built the dock pretty much a typical over head 4 point lift but I guess I could ask the wire company when I buy it. Thx

    Wire rope replacement

I have some fraying and want to replace the 5/16 cable on my lift. I have done this once before but had a few folks to help keep tension on the cables when winding them on the drive pipe. This time I will need to do it by myself and was wondering if any of you folks have a tip for doing it.

    interrupt switch disconnected

I gave it a try today and found out why the switch was disconnected but didn't tear any cleats loose with it tied up to the dock. I think the lower cable is binding or something is. with the switch connected I could get it into forward but it would die shifting back to neutral. It would not...

    interrupt switch disconnected

Thx to all for the replies, i have used the search function extensively which is why my fuel pump conversion worked out. I disconnected the shift cables and the lower one moves but probably not easy enough. I have not done one in the past so nothing to compare to. I'll give it a try tomorrow...

    interrupt switch disconnected

Thx dingbat, your response is encouraging. Its a stock 350 so probably about 260hp. I don't intend to go above idle, just want to check how well it will shift if at all. If it works I can get it on a trailer and pull the drive and do a decent inspection. It's going to need a gimbal bearing...

    interrupt switch disconnected

This boat has been in my lift since last winter when my neighbor sold his house and gave the boat to me. I pulled it to my place with a kayak because the fuel pump was ruptured. I have since converted to electric and got it running well enough to get it to the ramp and on the trailer. At least...

    fuel pump frustration

Good eye Eric, I didn't have enough A1 to do all of the hose so I used what I had for the pump to carb section and just regular from filter to pump. I have some a1 coming to replace that..
