1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

Larger (35Hp and up) Chrysler/Force engines do not actually need liquide sealant at the crank case. They have a grove in the cylinder case were a "spagetti" seal shall be applied. Instead of the OEM red "spagetti" seal I use "O-ring" string with a diameter of 2-2,5 mm (0.08-0,10 in). Have used...

The impeller is in wrong direction, the crank shaft rotate CW.

Gas Leaking from exhaust while priming bulb.. ?

No, the fuel pump is driven by the underpressure/overpressure from one cylinder in the crank case. If the diaphragm is ruptured you will pump fuel through it in to the crank case when you prime. If the carb needle valve is leaking you will see fuel coming out the vent hole in the carb.

The fuel pump diaphragm is bad, ruptured or hole in it.

1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

I think it will work, I use Permatex Aviation No. 3 form a gasket and it has always work in many applications. In your case the purpose for it is to hold the gasket in right place when assembling the cover plate.

    Weak spark

When you turn the flywheel and have the spark plugs grounded you should have spark at each plug 1 time per revoultion and 120 drg from each other.

1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

As long as there are no hole in the plate....no problem. The plate will warp because of the high temperature from the exhaust it exposed to. New gaskets and some liquid sealant to hold the gasket in place when assembling. Your plate looks good in the pics.

    Weak spark

Not worry about the timing at idle. Just adjust the idle with the screw at the timing tower that rest against the block crank case.

1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

The groove at the crank case half has to have a "spagetti"seal. I use a "o-ring" string (2,5 mm) in the grove then I add some Permatex Form a gasket liquid gasket at the surface. It has worked all the time..... no problem.

    Weak spark

Great, do not take any notice to the spark advance at idle. These engines are set at WOT and the spark advance at idle will be what it will be. I suggest you to set the spark advance to 30 or 28 dgr at WOT, then you tune the idle by the idle screw at the tower shaft and fine tune the carbs by...

Racerone is right, these old 2 strokers smoke and it depends on the premix. 2-2,5 % two stroke oil is the ratio you have to go for. When starting and cold they will smoke. You have to check the recirculation check valves and the screens that are there. If they are clogged it will smoke even more.

I do not use the three holes in the flywheel for lifting. I have made a lift ring by welding a ring at a nut fitting the thread at the crankshaft. Older Chrysler had a lift ring bolted at the power head between the flywheel and the head. I think the 1/4 in bolts and the threads in the flywheel...

Try to retard the timing til about 28-29 drg BTDC at WOT. Let the engine warm up and then fine tune the carbs. If you run at muffs set the idle at 1200 RPM, in water it will end up at about 700 RPM. But you have to set the proper idle in gear in water.

No need of sealant, maybe only some dots to hold the gasket in place before assembling the screws. General torque spec for 1/4 in screws (if it is 1/4 in) and I always start to tighten the screws from the center and in a circular pattern CW when there are parts with a lot of screws and with a...

Yes, the CD module has two channels and one can be bad. you can swap the CD modules and see if the issue follows or not.

85 HP force motor. 2 questions!

Are really sure it is the CD module that is bad? Check the triggers before you buy a new CD module. You can use a regular VOM if you do not have a DVA meter. But a DVA meter or DVA adapter is best. The triggers should put out 0,5V or more and the resistance for the triggers should read 48-50 Ohm.

1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

If this engine was mine I should do just one hole. I have bore many engines and I have done only the cylinders that needed. Question to go for 010 or 020 is up to you. If you are sure your measurements are true and correct and 010 will be enough, well go for it. If 010 not clean the cylinder...

Take the power head to a machine shop and have it measured by them. Then order over size piston and rings from the measurement from the machine shop.

85 HP force motor. 2 questions!

If you have a hole/leakage in the rubber boot where some exhaust and cooling water exit at the back of the midleg cover the engine will breathe exhaust with the cowl on. Try to run without the cowl and check if it perform better.
