    If you have a timing light that you can pre advance the timing and you set it to 28 dgr, you should see the zero mark if it is spot on. If you have to adjust you shall adjust it so it shows the zero mark. If you do not pre advance, it should show the 28 dgr mark.

    Nice you got it up and running. I think the issue was the cam dent not in position and the lower shift shaft not adjusted properly. The distinct snap when shifting into gear is just right and you know the shift pin is right in the shift cam.
