    08 Mustang Advice

This one - if I understand it right - is an interference engine. 2008 4.0l has a chain not a belt, and everything I looked at said the process of changing the chain was pretty precise.

    08 Mustang Advice

I need some opinions from better motor guys than myself: Middle kid owns an '08 Mustang with the 4.0. The car has run fine with little trouble, and it seems to be a well performing car that's comfortable. 130k on the car. A couple weeks ago, coming home from a long trip the timing chain let go...

    Manual for Rinker 1999 272?

Post specific questions up. We can help you tackle them. Buying a boat without really understanding them too much has bitten plenty of people. Sometimes it's a hard knock, but sometimes it works out really easily.

It turns over but won't idle...

Welcome aboard: You have fuel in the tank? And you're getting fuel to the engine? Good spark? Gotta' start with the basics. Does it try to run, but won't idle? Or if you crank it, will it not even catch?

    Manual for Rinker 1999 272?

Welcome aboard. They don't exist. Boats don't have manuals like cars. You want to get the shop manual for your engine/drive.

    New owner

Welcome aboard: Bilge pump is usually right under the engine somewhere in a sterndrive. That panel that you're showing is often a ski locker, but the way it's shaped on that boat, perhaps it's something else. The panel doesn't just lift out using the latch at the end?

@BWR1953 I'm up for stories if you've got 'em: Been a fan of the space programs for years, and get a kick out of seeing the new stuff. I've had the chance to meet a lot of amazing people; Jim Lovell, Hoot Gibson & his wife Rea Seddon, Jim McDivitt and others ... I knew you were a NASA guy, but...

    Need help identifying this boat

Pictures are too small to see it well: is it a sloop or kat rig? Looks kinda' like a Snark.

    boat storage

Same. I had to decide if the cars or the boat get the garage. The cars seem to handle the weather pretty well ;)

    20 Member family Vacation

Another option - with more available in the "no one has to cook" category: Gaylord Opryland. You can literally spend a week there, and never have to leave the building. And, there is a ton more to do within a 30 minute drive.

    20 Member family Vacation

You'd have to look closely at the particular house we stayed at: but, it had ways to handle large meals, outside games and toys, table tennis and it's own beach. They provided beach toys and equipment: kayaks, SUP, chairs, even some fishing gear. Lemme know if you want the link. I'll dig it up...

    20 Member family Vacation

We did! I don't think the house we stayed at would hold 20 adults, but might handle 20 if a bunch were kids. But it was on Keeywadin Island: fantastic week on the Gulf Beach and kinda' off the grid. (Think I can even link you to the exact rental if I looked) Couple of good resorts in the Smokey...

    New boat owner!

Welcome aboard. I agree with Scott, give the maintenance items a good servicing. After that if you take care of it; it can be a fine boat. I was never going to be a Bayliner owner until ... I was. And the crazy thing has been a good boat.

    Potential new boat owner

Welcome aboard: Start by reading this topic if you haven't already - https://forums.iboats.com/forum/boat-topics-and-questions-not-engine-topics.10/ Next, I would suggest three things: 1) A boater's safety course, 2) a trip to local marina and see what people on the lake you will use tend to own...

Got ME a nice something, BECAUSE!!! :)

I've got an older Mossburg 500: I have the shorter barrel for it and I think that's what a lot of police departments were using years ago. The only auto shotguns I've used are the Benellis, and I do like them quite a bit. Never owned one though.

    Finally, a good idea.

The article is fine if you want to talk about the arm itself: if this topic goes to politics or mud slinging at other members; it's going. For myself: while I wouldn't buy that particular gun; there are plenty of youth arms out there. Been making them for years, but I prefer a bolt action .22...
