    went out tonight for the first time AT NIGHT, and we owned the lake.     with the "cling cling cling" noise also check your shift cables to ensure the drive is actually going into gear. You can get that noise if the dog clutches are not fully engaging if the shift cables are faulty. THIS IS VERY DAMAGING TO THE DRIVE.... so check it sooner rather than later.

    bingo.... have a lower pitch prop and keep both on the boat. if you intend to tow, drop the pitch, and run with it, if just gonna putz around, put the other one on... about a 5 minute procedure to do.

    could be a number of things, the least expensive of which is a spun prop hub..... could range from that all the way up to a destroyed outdrive. Kinda hard to tell without an inspection.

    Tilt / Trim problems :(

    if your pump has internal valving, it may have jammed hard. I had the one on my MC-1 do similar this year, and ended up having to replace the pump. Its a PITA, but now the trim works great, better than it has any time I have owned this boat..... my symptoms were nearly identical to yours.

    for towing a tube, they make a bridle that goes between the two rear transom tie down points. much stronger that way than the ski hook. Tubes have a LOT more surface area on the water, so create a whole lot more force when towing.
