Hi all so back kind of after a rebuild as found broken rings not causing any problems but once seen

You should have 2 LONG leads off the stator, can be the same color, they go to the rec. The white leads goes to the bus bar. I'll look tomorrow and see if the parts bin can show the wiring hooked to the rectifier?

    1990 150hp force trim & tilt

You woke up a 20 year old post. Most parts aren't available for the T@T pump itself. The check valves are usually rebuilt and they only need the tiny rubber seal that goes in there. If you need parts, the best bet is try to buy a whole motor or a T@T assy.

    Forward and reverse are backwards

Drop the lower unit. Turn the shift rod slowly as you turn the prop shaft. It will eventually hit the right spot. Or ask on The Mercury forum. The later 98-99 Force used Mercury style lower units.

Is the wiring diagram on the motor gone? Maybe someone with a 125 that has the diagram can take a pic of it?

    Adding straight gas to mix

Where'd you hear that? Worried about condensation? Using Ethanol or not if the tanks full when not in use, then condensation can't form. Ethanol seems to draw/attract moisture no absorb it. If the boats gonna set, even with a full tank and your using Ethanol fuel then use E stabilizer, the fuel...

You should have 3 places to fill/ vent on your drive. Make sure the plugs are in right. I use an air pump from Ryobi. It has a fitting that fits right into the fill/vent hole.

How to Test trigger and stator on Force -125 hp outboard

Force 85 1989 Water in gearbox / hole

IF???? you have the drive that came with the motor, the 89 didn't have the speedo hookup through the front of the drive. That came later when Mercury started influencing the design. They did have a hole so water/gunk would drain out. Do a pressure test. It did have the rubber bellows/seal for the...

    Adding straight gas to mix

Add more if you have room but add pre-mixed gas/oil. If the gas has only sat for a few months it shouldn't go bad. What can happen is if the tank is not full and the boat sets in the sun, condensation forms and water settles in the bottom of the tank. Raise the bow as far as you can, add 3-4 dry...
