    Chrysler 65hp clutch dog problem

"I'll get back to that sooner or later if anybody wants to learn about the gear system in these old engines and how to actually adjust them..." Talk about arrogant, after 35 years I've been doing it wrong. Part of this is making sure the right info is handed out. If it hurt your feelings? who...

    Help with FORCE 125XT

The difference in pitch and the way it affected my boat and wallet. 1988 21ft. twin 85hp. Forces 17p alum. 32mph 33 on a good day. I wanted more speed so I changed to a pair of 19p alum. I got more. speed went to 35-36 The bad: my fuel economy took a dump. I was using 15-20% more fuel. So the...

    Sparkplug reading

Like I said I don't see anything wrong with them. Do the starting fluid test and see if the motor runs different.

1998 Force 90hp 2 stroke is it bad?

Matt167 said: They are cross scavenged 2 strokes, which is technology that the other brands left behind in the 70's... I thought all of the big brands are still using this outdated technology?? I've owned at least 5-6 Forces. from 50-125 hp. They are a good running motor, somewhat harder on...

    Sparkplug reading

I don't really see anything wrong with any of them. Now if one was white from heat? or one oil soaked? or light brown? Then I might have something to say. Where are the air screws set? They're supposed to be set at 1 turn out and left there. But some motors just don't run right at that...

    Help with FORCE 125XT

Someplace on the prop should be the size or #s that tell the size. Never saw the 125XT before. Dress em up. Still the same Force.1987 early. From what I can see: the prop is from an older Force. The exhaust snout has been modified(cutdown). If you bought it at auction and it runs?? Good deal.

    1978 Chrysler 85HP Powerhead Swap

Why a port cover leaks. One TINY TINY cough, or a huge backfire and what ever cyl the backfire was on will probably blow the gasket. The only way to see that is loosen the packs/coils and hold a cigarette or propane torch around the cover and see if the smoke get sucked in or blown away...

    1977 Chrysler 10hp 100HA exhaust cover specs

Around 90 in. lb. The trouble with just putting the cover back on is the edges need squaring up. Or milled if possible. When the factory made the motor it was all sharp/square edges and the gaskets just seemed to fit better. Plus once it was made and ran for a few minutes it set for a time, up...

    Low Compression on Cylinder #2

Have the shop tell you if it needs a bore or a hone. The middle piston(if I read right) was the bad hole and needs the bore job. You don't need to do all 3 holes unless they're damaged. There are lots of 3 and 4 cyl Forces running around with 1 over sized piston. On the Eastern Shore of Va. is a...

Force 125 1986, hole in front of lower unit weeping oil

The only problem I see is the broken rubber bellows. They don't make them anymore and finding one would be a miracle!! A while back someone posted abut a replacement part, try the search function? The rubber bellows was only used for a short time in 1989/90 then the end of 90 they realized it...
