    Water in gear oil

Some more: some drain plugs come with plastic seals, or crush washers. They are a single use item. Use one time and discard. You might get away with reusing? but again is that the time it's gonna fail? The fabric/felt washers work real good in place of the plastic. These can be reused, just turn...

    Water in gear oil

NO AMOUNT OF WATER IS ACCEPTABLE!!! White or foamy oil is water. If the first thing that comes out is water or white/tan/brown oil. Then good oil follows? that shows the drain plug is probably the culprit? I had 4 different 88/85 Forces. All 4 weeped around the drain plug. Almost everything I...

Force 125 1986, hole in front of lower unit weeping oil

Don't listen to everyone who gives you feedback. Some have no clue and just use the WAG system for diagnosis. You need to remove the lower, drain the oil and do a pressure test before you go and do a reseal job on the lower unit. When the lowers off, remove the pump and check and see if there's...

    Chrysler 65hp clutch dog problem

Try to clean it the best you can, sandblasting and powder coating works. Just make sure the bearing is out of the carrier and doesn't pick up sand or you'll be fixin something else.

What came first the chicken or the broken ring?? Who knows?? The damage is bad enough it needs a bore job, might get away with .010 maybe as much as .020?? The people at the machine shop will be able to say. But I'd really think about a different motor, these 70hp with the single carb are famous...
