    Fram G-2 G-3 G-12 what ever fits your fuel line. All 3 are good small particle filters. I installed a G-2 on a travel lift that was plagued with fuel delivery problems. It worked great until someone tried burning water instead of gas :(

    That's the first thing that should have been done SOP We can't help if you don't follow the suggestions?? I've worked on hundreds of these things and the first thing I would do is clean the slide and choke.

    Did you take it apart and clean the slide and hole where the slide goes? Out of adjustment. even a little can stop it from working.

    Just put it on a piece of glass and see how big the gaps are? Never saw one so bad it couldn't be used.

    That pic is where the motor gets it's air. And it's missing the cover, that shouldn't cause it to smoke so much it kills the motor. A motor that's being worked on will smoke a lot more because of the flooding effect of trying to start the motor frequently and not getting it hot enough to burn...

    Bottom of both sides of the transom clamp, there's holes that you can put a 1/2"X12-14"bolt that the motor can rest on as you go.

    Your primer might be bad? Once it feeds then it should just stand by as the pump feeds the carb??

    #17 probably wasn't the culprit?? Right where #1 is on the picture, that's where a gasket goes and it can cause your problem. Look for the powerhead parts breakdown.

    Choke's grounded through the bracket. Volt meter: unhook green choke wire from choke body, hook test lead to the green choke wire. Hit the choke/key, what's the voltage?     Blue/green substance leaking from L/U

    The allen head set screw is the drain plug. Sometimes they get stuck, I use a propane torch for a few seconds to help loosen it. You can't hurt it with the propane torch, acetylene is another thing.
