Too bad you don't have a video of your complete procedure for repacking wheel bearings.
Been doing automotive, truck and trailer wheel bearings for +- 60 years and never had one just "pop off" after 20 miles of use, or multiple times.
If grease is squeezing out when cap is installed, I would suspect the bearing / cap space is over packed with grease. Maybe when they heat up, the pressure increase pushed the cap off.
Here is how to test the fuel gauge / sender to see what is bad. Sounds like you have a short circuit after the fuel gauge (wiring or sender) or a bum gauge.
The one closest to the prop is the down. Not sure if they do go all the way in. Ones I have seen, if I recall correctly on the alphas, the piston sticks out of the body about 2"
Over the outside on the car locking lugnut. That one you have, maybe a very large torx bit would work on the inside diameter, but unsure if that outside part just spins when lock nut breaks loose.
Some have been lucky and had a socket to use. They find a socket the won't quite go, then beat it on with a hammer, destroying the lock and the socket at the same time.
Getting wheel locks off without a key is same method. Did it all the time working in wrecker yard.
I looked on this iBoats site, but didn't see any

Sure sounds like a voltage or grounding problem. Would be best to get it to someone that specializes in electrical systems.
Too bad you're not closer to here.
Just like the warnings... "Coffee is scolding hot. Do not place cup between legs" or "Don't eat the Tide PODS".
Because of some peoples lack of common sense and ability to think through a situation (read that as "STUPIDITY") and desire to sue any and everyone else for the mistakes they make...
Not 100% sure I understand the 1st post.
1. You say only time your trailer turn signals will work is when your headlight switch is in "auto", correct?
2. You are doing this testing during the day (running lights off) ? If that is the case, then the turns should work in the " #1 OFF" position...
Don't forget the cheaper ones are usually lower grade knock offs from overseas with inferior grade of S/S and less that perfect machining specs / tolerances and dimensions. May not have problems w/ the cheapo one, but then again, it may fail pretty quickly.
The S/S grade (toughness and...
I would venture to say that pin is junk / a paperweight. You can clean it all you want, but it will still be junk. The bushing / seal surface is all pitted and will leak water into bushing area. This is obvious from the pictures.
Get a good, high quality S/S one, new seals and new bushings and...
I did the conversion to EoH this past spring on my tandem axle trailer w/ disc brakes. Possibly the best conversion I ever made on a trailer, aside from discs. Trailer will actually slow the truck down if the gain is turned up a tad. Didn't replace the surge coupler, just modified it.
And no...
