    Bayliner toilet 2651

No macerator pumps on boats that are on fresh / inland waters. There are plenty boats in fresh water that have the macerator . They have a "y" valve inline, wich if in fresh water must be locked in position to not allow waste to pump overboard.

    Bayliner toilet 2651

Not all have them, if you do there should be a switch to activate it either in the head or the electrical panel. You will hear it.

    What size drag link socket

What alldodge said, I usually take a good flat screwdriver and give it a rap with the hammer, Works most of the time. replace the screw with one that has a better groove, and the gaskets at every change. Some of them are stubborn.

Disconnecting Fuel line from the outboard

Are you sure there is no primer? Had a similar situation with a customer. Their motor quit just outside the marina, they were pinned against the breakwall in some rough seas. I dashed out there and their fuel pump had gone south, I dug around and found the primer bulb way down in the bilge...

Should I get this FREE project boat?

If you have a big plot of land, and young children, you could strip it down to the basics, bury it to the waterline, put a sump pump in it, and a pole building cover of some sort. It would make a great playhouse for the children. Nothing more.

    Crack in Hull

That is a loaded question. It could be fine, it could fail tomorrow , or 6 month's from now.

    Crack in Hull

Of course they will fix it. They just want your money. You really need to check further for any damage inside, it looks like it's been that way for awhile. Any flotation foam is saturated. You won't see water in the bilge till it gets through the foam.

    Impeller challenged...?

Not good. When ran low on oil, the gears go away rather quickly.

    Birdshot damage aluminum boat

My duckboat has .22 caliber holes in it. The po had simply put ss bolts in the holes with sealer. I bought the thing from him 35 years ago. Gives the boat charter. I still might fix it but it don't leak.

    Automatic bilge pump

I don't like them. If you arte not hooked to shore power and charging batteries, it will kill your battery if you dont use the boat enough. At that point the boat could get enough rainwater or such and sink.

    Confused and frustrated

IF you didn't break stuff on the carb, Possibly it can be saved. Take it to a known shop or person who is good with carbs, and have them rebuild it. If I knew where you were, and were close to my area I could do it for ya.

    Automatic bilge pump

if I get restricted space in a bilge, I make up a flat alunimum barstock from the local hardware store, shape it to fit in the lowest part of the bilge, attach the pump and fasten the end to someplace higher up. if you have issues later its easy to remove the pump by sliding it out.

1990Bayliner CIERA 2556 Difficult to restart the engine

Rebuild the carb. Sounds like it may leaking, flooding, or starving due to plugged low end passages. When cold the choke is drawing more fuel so it will start.

Proper size thru Hull transducer for 1996 Sea Ray 210

My first rule of thumb is to clean off the squeeze out off the outside right away. You still have sealer under the flange and up the threads, Removing it now wont cause any issues.

    Sharing a berth

Nope. I certianly would not either, they are tied side by side? Think of the scratches/damage if their fenders aren't on correctly.

    Ground noise after amp install

I got rid of the noise on mine by disconnecting the amp, radio, and removed them from the boat. Nature makes better sound.
