    Towable recommendation

    No matter what you buy, do not try to "jerk" the tow rope. Keep it snug when taking off. My brother bought three tubes and complained they fell apart quickly. I told him they are designed for towing, not jerking your truck out of the snowbank....

    How was it stored. If it was sitting bow down, Any rain that may get in the aft deck areas may run forward instead of going out the drainplug. Seen that happen quite often.

    There are lots of them out there that hold up well. In 15 years of servicing them I've only seen two that were broke from lack of service.

    Didn't read the entire thread, try disconnecting the tachometer. They can cause issues when they go south.

    If it had two bolts, it's wise to put both back in. I know how frustrated you can get doing that job. I have a box of sacrifical tools that I heat, bend, configure to get at those hard to get at places.

    Thru-hull oil drain

    That plug won't jut fall out. But it is for draining the oil. I don't use them if it comes equipped with them. I pull the oil from the dipstick.

    Sounds like you have never had a boat of this caliber. I think you need to keep asking questions here, and talk to a known professional in your area and get some knowledge on how this all works. Anyone can turn the key, but what happens in the bilge/motor/under the hood area they have no idea.

    7.4L Impeller replacement attempt

    Do you have a dual helm? If you do you have to get the right temp sensor for it, same as if you have a single helm. The ohm ratings are different for each.
