    94 Four Winns sundowner

If you have not reached out to 4Winns, you could start there. There are also a few places that repair gauge clusters. Like this one . . . https://ats4solutions.com/marine-support-services/ Also there are a few threads here on iBoats . . ...

    98 mercruiser 5.0 possibly overheating

If the amount of water coming out of the outdrive (on land) seems normal, check the thermostat housing for corrosion/blockage, if other things fail to resolve the problem. Also, check the thermostat for proper operation. Much of the incoming water to the engine would go to the exhaust risers...

Does anyone reconize this boat or have info?

Here is some history on Slickcraft. Generally well-regarded in their day . . . until they sold out to AMF. https://nautipedia.it/index.php/SLICKCRAFT_STORY

    LiFePO Batteries ???

Thanks for the additional comments and links . . . @sam am I sounds like you were a very early adopter, or as least thinking about it. One concern is the charge rate and limiting the amperage to be compatible with alternators. In my boat there are all kinds of battery isolators and I have a...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

Thanks for the link on Dakota Lithium . . . To be clear, it is "Lithium Iron Phosphate" (not the standard Lithium ion) . . . https://elcanindustries.com/toll-processing/lithium-iron-phosphate-batteries-vs-lithium-ion-batteries/ Just not a lot of folks using them in boats at this point, it seems.

    Bayliner Blank Gauge Cluster?

Nearly impossible to find anything like that. Perhaps an auto custom shop or a marine fiberglass shop might be able to repair the existing one. Is it the instrument cluster panel that is cracked or the dashboard that surrounds it?

    LiFePO Batteries ???

@909 Thanks for the links. I was thinking about Dakota Lithium as the battery brand. I believe they are made in the USA (:flag-waving:) :D

    LiFePO Batteries ???

OK, I'm listening . . . I'm also concerned about the charge rate of the LFP batteries and the need to regulate charging current. Although my friend added a dc/dc converter to his battery conversion, he 'mysteriously' blew out the ProNautic 1230 shorepower charger. I'm thinking that...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

Thanks @dubs283 . . . not overly concerned about the cost of fuel, just thinking shedding 400 lbs. of weight reduction might help time-to-plane and boat balance. The dry weight of the boat is 11,300 lbs +/-, so 400 lbs is not a game-changer, but something to consider. Wondering if the LiFePO...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

Greetings, My boat (Cruisers Yacht 338) has 7 (seven) 31M-AGM batteries, which spec at 72 lbs. each. The batteries are isolated into 4 banks (4 for the inverter, 1 house, port engine, starboard engine). The boat is now 7 years old and I expect to be replacing batteries over the next few years...

    94 Four Winns sundowner

Welcome to iBoats . . . Some boats have the instrument clusters that were made by VDO and so replacing individual gauges was problematic. I am not sure if your boat has such, but if you can get access to the backside of the gauges, it should be easy to tell if they are individual gauges or...

2 cycle 9.8 water pump question

Thanks for the follow-up (even though you got no replies  ) Do you have any pictures to post as a comparison of the 2 water pumps? I have the smaller brother to the 9.8 (a 1969 7.5) and have done several water pumps over the years. I just don't recall the orientation of the seal...

    Replacing old Gauges ?

Welcome to iBoats . . . 'S' would be a sender. A voltmeter (gauge) certainly would not need a sender lead as it is measuring the voltage of the 'I' ignition lead vs. ground. What was the sender lead of the old gauge connected to?

CA DMV Registration of Inflatable boat and motor (outboard and/or trolling)?

Have you checked online with the CA DMV as to what you need? As for the PDF print-out of the CoO . . . make sure to have your best poker face when you get to the DMV office. (worked for me once - different state though . . . :ROFLMAO: )

    Testing transom assembly for leaks

Just catching up on your several threads about the transom assembly. Did you do any work on the transom itself? (I might have missed a prior thread) As far as the test, with a completely assembled transom assembly and outdrive, as well as the exhaust Y-pipe and something to hold the outdrive...
