Right off the top of my head... Introduce turbulence and cavitation around the water pump inlets and prop.
Possible situation where your optimal running trim angle and the transducer's viewing angle don't match up
The Y2K connection (4 pin) on a Yamaha is separate from CommandLink, CommandLink plus.
Just need the 4 pin to Y2K cable adaptor to connect to the Y2K back bone
CommandLink and CommandLink Plus are not Y2K undercover.
CL and CLP use different PGN to provided additional engine data and...
I used JB to resurface/repair the cooling passages in a corroded aluminum block with good success.
Already bare aluminum, just cleaned the surface with denatured alcohol then applied a thin layer of epoxy where needed. Covered that with plastic wrap and used a plastic spatula to fill in the...
Running isopropanol through a moisture sensor probably wasn't the best move. Could have damaged or contaminated the moisture sensor.
Just because you don't have water in the bowl doesn't mean the fuel isn't carrying mositure.
The sample I took out of my fuel this Spring did not show water...
Generally speaking, aluminum doesn’t corrode in freshwater w/o facilitation.
The “electric leak in the lake” may in fact be a short or bad ground connection somewhere on the motor or boat.
Single axle trailer........#3500 to #5200 involves a tire change.
Existing load rating = tire rating
According to literature the dry weight of your new boat is #3,500.
Add fuel, coolers, toys and misc and your probably closer to #4,000.
This is a function of the sending unit, not the display. You need a reed switch type sender
What do you have currently?
What are your expectations?
I found this functionality fairly useless in the long run.
I don’t use AP for point to point…dangerous and does not relieve the Captain of watch...
Why is that?
As long as the cranking amperage meets min. spec, no problem.
The recommend battery for my 200 HP is 500 CCA above 32F, 675 CCA below 32 F
I run two (2) 600 CCA, 160 RC deep cycle batteries. Have never had an issue starting down to 20F. In fact, you get increased battery life out...
outboards typically don’t charge while idling.
The rated output of the charging system is rated in hours of run time. A 30 amp system is charging at a rate of 30 amps per hour
The pressure drop in a good quality, coalescing filter is less than 1/2 psi.
Either the filter or fuel line is too small for the flow rate or you have something wrong with your fuel delivery system.
I run a 200 hp with a 60 gpm filter. No problem drawing fuel from the under floor aux tank...
A choke on an EFI?
Never heard of such a thing.
Injectors are very sensitive to fuel quality. Must a 10 micron filter to avoid problems.
10 micron filter?
When was the last time the injectors were sent out for cleaning?
Have you monitored fuel pressure while engine is misbehaving?
No beep...
When push comes to shove you can never have too much capacity (water) in a fuel filter
Having said that, here is the small boat version.
